The Inspiration... Protein Preparation
The idea is simple - pick a protein, pick a style to go with it, and follow the preparation instructions. Proteins and preparation styles are interchangeable, so with 8 proteins and 4 preparations, there are 32 meals in all. Enjoy!

Preparation Instructions for Oriental Salmon
Servings: 2 servings of 4 blocks each

Ingredients Instructions
12 oz. salmon
1/4 c dry white wine
3 T water
1 T sugar
2 T lite soy sauce
1 t grated ginger root
1 t cornstarch
1 1/3 c mandarin orange
2 1/2 c steamed broccoli
  • Combine wine, 3 T water, sugar, soy sauce and ginger in saucepan and bring to a boil
  • dissolve cornstarch in remaining water, add to soy mixture and cook, stirring, until thickened
  • baste salmon with mixture
  • broil 3-5 minutes each side, basting several times during cooking
  • serve with remaining sauce and 1 1/4 c broccoli
  • have 2/3 c oranges with meal or for dessert
